The need for speed

Where are the packages?

WillaMesh's Internet service does not have speed package bundles. Instead, you pay each gigabyte of data you use. This pricing model is better for three reasons:

  1. It is more fair. People who use more, pay more for that access. But, if you aren't using the network, you don't pay for bandwidth.
  2. You are not forced to choose slow speeds in exchange for a cheaper monthly bill.
  3. The more people use the network, the more money is available to make the network better.

Doesn't metered service cost more?

If you are worried that you will pay gobs of money with WillaMesh, don't be! Here's some food for thought:

  • A typical "cord cutter" household -- one that watches TV via streaming over the Internet only -- in addition to their other Internet access uses 400 gigabytes in a month. At 10 cents per gigabyte, this is just $40 a month, well under a typical monthly cable subscription bundle.
  • WillaMesh has no contracts, so you will not be stuck paying hundreds of dollars a month for an entire year, if not longer.
  • WillaMesh does not arbitrarily increase its fees. In our model, if your cost-per-gigabyte goes up, it's because you're getting more service. With traditional providers you end up paying more and more for the same service.

What can I get for 400 gigabytes in a month?

If we use the 400 gig per month figure that a typical "cord cutter" household uses, this is what that looks like:
